Today's Topic: The Valentines Update & Value Requesting

Updates are always exciting for Survive the Killer and with this Valentines update came a lot of awesome looking knives & killers. The value team really appreciates everyone who took the time to value request their trades for these new items so we could come up with some initial values for them! Valentines updates are one of the best because they introduce amazing knife concepts and designs that break up the darker theme of items in the game.

That being said, we have introduced a cool new role that people can earn (@Trusted Requester). Anybody can earn this role by consistently value requesting their valid trades in the proper format! Value requesting is very important to the STK economy and we highly encourage everyone to value request their trades, good or bad, as that helps us accurately make changes to values & keep the community informed!

Discussion Changes:

The Values team has made a decision to modify the discussion posting system. Going forward, only two types of updates will be posted:

1. When items have successfully gone through discussion

2. When items fail discussion, along with reasoning

Any items that enter discussion will not be posted.

The reason for these changes to minimize the negative impact it could have on the trading economy. Traders can often hesitate to trade items that go into discussion for a raise, and those who want to benefit from the hype end up offering more than the item's actual worth, which can lead to artificial inflation. On the other hand, when an item goes into discussion for a lower value, owners can feel pressured to trade them off, leading to artificial undervaluation.

The purpose of this change is to reduce these effects on items and address these issues. To know when items will change, traders can check the #📥┃value-requests channels where we obtains the majority of proofs for suggested changes. We hope everyone understands these changes going forward!

Today's Featured Item: Fey's Slycer

This amazing knife was the first ever limited stock item released by the STK Developers. It was on sale initially for :gem~1:350 with a stock of #3000 but the developers soon reduced it to #600 and it took a while to sell out as back then gems were a new type of currency to the game and not everyone could afford it. This knife started it all for limited stock items in Survive the Killer and it still holds the throne as the best knife in the game (my personal opinion lol).
